Description :
The anticipated research at LRPRIM is primarily conducted in the fields of nuclear physics, particle physics, nonlinear optics, plasma physics, laser physics, and materials science. The objects studied mainly include atoms, small molecules, and multicharged ions, and the laboratory is structured around five main themes, which are:
-Nuclear structure, reaction mechanisms, nuclear astrophysics, hadronic matter.
-Lasers and optoelectronics, applications in optical telecommunications, spectroscopy.
-Plasma physics, thermonuclear fusion, development of plasma techniques.
-Development and application of materials characterization techniques.
-Development and application of nuclear techniques
Objectives of scientific research and technological development
1-Scientific:
-Study of nuclear structure.
-Investigation of reaction mechanisms relevant to astrophysics.
-Analytical study of instabilities in hot plasmas.
-Analytical studies of plasma interaction with ultrashort and ultra-intense laser pulses (nonlinear effects).
-Investigation of laser pulse propagation in optical fibers.
-Study of precipitation kinetics.
2-Technologic :
-Development of nuclear analysis techniques.
-Study of the development of plasma deposition techniques.
-Development of optoelectronic systems.
-Development of radioisotope production techniques.
-Optical telecommunications technology.
